On Sunday, May 29, 2022, Vineyard Haven came alive with the sounds of reggae, rock, and dance music at the much-anticipated Music on the Rock! event. Held behind The Cove Golf & Grill, this vibrant music festival was a collaboration between local music initiatives Martha’s Vineyard Sound, TPS Audio, and Cartel Productions.
The event showcased an impressive lineup, featuring nationally renowned reggae bands The Itals and Exco Levi & The Naya Rockers, alongside popular local talents such as Dukes County Love Affair (DCLA), The Dock Dance Band, DB x N1D, Wolftrap, and Reel Dubz Sound. With more acts to be added, the festival promised an unforgettable experience for music lovers.
Music on the Rock! was co-produced by local music enthusiasts Phil DaRosa and Carter Hakala, who brought together this diverse mix of artists to celebrate the rich musical culture of Martha's Vineyard.
